Who North Allegheny works well for
This district fits a particular buyer. Families relocating into Pittsburgh who want a top tier district with deep program breadth and are comfortable in larger schools. Households where access to downtown and the I-279 corridor matters, since the McCandless and Franklin Park ends of the district keep that commute reasonable. Buyers who want real choice across price points and home styles, because the four municipalities genuinely differ from one another.
It works less well if you are set on the smallest possible school environment, or if your heart is set on a specific town that happens to sit just outside the district boundary. I have watched buyers talk themselves into a home a single street outside North Allegheny and then carry that frustration for years. The boundary is the boundary, and I would much rather verify your exact municipality before you write an offer than explain it after.
